What is an American?
An American is anyone who thinks he is an American. But please, don't tell me you are Asian-American, Hispanic-American, African-American or any other half-assimilate breed. If that's what you think, then I don't think you are American at all.

2. Speaks English, or is trying very hard to learn to do so.
3. Is making a contribution to this country or is trying very hard to do so.
4. Puts this country above all others.
